The country is great naturewise, Sweden has a beautiful nature and it is kept very natural. Places that I have visited are also beautiful. Locals are very helpful when you need help but to build warm relationships is hard, they always keep their distance and the conversations are often superficial. I don’t like to talk about what I have done or I will do on the holidays and the weekends all the time. As an unexpected thing, knowing the local language is very importand and without it you can not blend in the society.

Locals tend to be very closed, but if approached can be helpful, just don't expect them to approach you. They all speak English making it easy to visit around. The trains are not great or cheap but are available across the country.

Sweden is definitely different from the rest of Europe, the nordic region has its own customs and cultural differences that you feel when you come to live here. Nonetheless, these things only make you more intrigued to learn about it and in no way make you feel isolated. The culture of fika is my favourite, and taking breaks where you just sip coffee and eat something sweet is amazing. I visited Stockholm and Gothenburg, and I am in love with them! They are different from each other, but both spectacular in their own way. The life there is urban, alive and always moving. It is also easy to access them from here, with buses and trains always running. An unexpected thing I have encountered is how americanised some things are here — events like parties tend to have so many things that are unusual in rest of Europe, but are very known to exist in America. It's a funny thing that isn't that big, but it did catch me off guard.

Swedes are not very warm people. I can say that I don't have much conversation with the Swedes in my class.
