College of the Canyons Professor & Advisor/Mentor for NASA HASP & NASA RockSatX Space Missions
    Teresa Ciardi says

Students gain insight into how problem-solving is done among groups here. While science and technology are the same in any country, the process of problem-solving includes cultural elements.

Experiencing the cultural interactions and nuances of the process here, will provide international students with an awareness of how culture affects the scientific process, and of how science and technology advances occur here, providing a more global perspective of how science is accomplished.

Studying in the USA results in competitive degrees that can lead to employment anywhere. Our country is very focused on equality and dispelling prejudices, and our institutions include many safe spaces for all. We are committed to DEIA and acceptance of all LGBTQIA identities, and to making the extra effort to ensure that underrepresented populations in STEM are supported.

Scientists, engineers, and educators are needed everywhere in the world! The space industry is growing rapidly and is in need of scientists and engineers who have practical skills. Pursuing a degree in the USA typically includes opportunities to acquire the practical skills that employers seek. Educators/Teachers, especially for STEM, are desperately needed at all levels and within the industry.

Tell us about studying aerospace engineering in the USA
The best university to study aerospace engineering is definitely ERAU. Education is fantastic at ERAU. I have not had a problem with a single professor in the time I have been here and I'm sure I will not in the future. Tuition at ERAU is extremely expensive, but their quality education definitely makes up for it. ERAU offers loads of resources regarding help with education such as tutoring and academic advising which are available almost 24/7. Class sizes at ERAU are small, which allows for more focus and one-on-one time with your professor.
