Texas State University is a public research university located in San Marcos, Texas, US. There are two campuses: the main campus in San Marcos, and the Round Rock Campus, located north of Austin.
The University offers 98 bachelor’s, 93 master’s and 14 doctoral degree programs. Texas State is made up of several schools, including applied arts, McCoy College of Business Administration, education, fine arts and communication, health professions, liberal arts, science and engineering, the University College and the Graduate College.
Texas State University offers accommodation to students that is safe, secure and convenient in its residence halls and off-campus apartments through the Achieving Community Together (ACT) program.
Known as the Bobcats, the University’s athletics teams participate in NCAA Division I. Their teams compete in basketball, cross country, football, golf, and track and field among others.

Texas State has very affordable tuition especially when partnered with their generous scholarships.
International students are encouraged to apply for academic scholarships at Texas State. Applicants must be currently enrolled or admitted to Texas State by the scholarship deadline in order to be considered.
Assured Scholarships are automatically awarded to all qualified international students who are admitted to Texas State as first-time incoming freshman and meet the minimum scholarship qualifications prior to their first fall or spring semester.
For undergraduate students who have taken an SAT, and receive a minimum scholarship of $1,000, students will automatically get the in-state tuition which is $8,712 for the entire year and the scholarship.
For postgraduate programs, applying students who receive assistantships, even a partial scholarship of $1,000 they will automatically get the in-state tuition and the scholarship. In-state tuition $7,000 per year.
