Why study in San Antonio?
San Antonio, Texas, is probably best known as the home of The Alamo, a historic fortress compound created by Roman Catholic missionaries in the 18th century; this makes the US city popular with tourists. It’s also a large university town with over 100,000 students studying in over 30 universities. Public transport in the city consists of extensive bus networks, and the city is served by two Amtrak rail routes. The city also benefits from its own international airport.
Whether you want festivals or year round attractions, San Antonio has plenty for students to do: there are around 50 festivals and events throughout the year including the Fiesta San Antonio, as well as the nearby Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and the city’s riverwalk.
