Eastern New Mexico University’s main campus is situated on the High Plains of the American Southwest in Portales, US, - the heart of a major agricultural region. The University is made up of four colleges and a graduate school.

With over 60 degree programs in total, ENMU fits many international students’ educational or career goals; some of the most popular majors at the undergraduate level are biology, business administration, and criminal justice.

The University’s campus has a lot of green space and state-of-the-art buildings. Spacious dorm rooms are located on campus close to academic classrooms and amenities.

Life as an international student

Eastern New Mexico University's international students come from 26 countries. The University has a strong focus on cultural diversity and enrichment, and encourages students to learn and network through events with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

ENMU’s Office of International Affairs provides assistance and support to international students throughout their time at the University, and hosts activities for the international student community.

There are many activities for students at ENMU including intramural sports, a climbing wall and boxing area. With 14 active varsity sports (NCAA‎ ‎Division II‎), there are frequently games and matches to attend. With more than 60 student organizations, as well as fraternity and sorority opportunities, there’s something for every student to get involved with.

Fees and funding

ENMU has joined a movement with many other public institutions to make college more affordable for international and out-of-state students.

Undergraduate Tuition: $8,128 per year Postgraduate Tuition: $8,986 per year (2 year programs)

Non-resident tuition waiver

The ENMU International Programs Non-Resident Tuition Waiver, available to incoming international students, lowers your tuition to in-state rates. Eligibility requirements are 3.0 GPA and 25 ACT / 1130-1169 SAT; 3.2 GPA and 23 ACT / 1060-1089 SAT; or 3.5 college transfer GPA.
