    Study abroad at Midway University

    A private Christian liberal arts university based in Midway in the US state of Kentucky, Midway University offers traditional semester undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The University’s 200 acre campus is also a working horse farm, and is just 15 minutes from Lexington.

    Midway is made up of three schools: the school of arts and sciences, the school of business, equine and sport studies, and the school of health sciences. The University also offers a number of online programs and non-credit programs including an English as a second language (ESL) program. . The University’s campus includes three residence halls, a restaurant and cafe, gym and library. Midway also fields 15 sports teams, known as the Eagles. They compete in basketball, baseball, cross country, soccer, tennis, volleyball and more.

    Life as an international student

    There are currently 118 international students that call Midway University home.

    The University’s Office of International Programs will be on hand to assist you during your time at Midway. They offer personal support, acculturation sessions and a mentor scheme that can connect you with a local host family.

    The University makes a great effort to enhance all students’ experience while at Midway by presenting unique speakers, arts programming and multicultural programs on campus.

    Midway also offers a wide range of student clubs and organizations you can join. These include a horse association, running club and a science club. International students are encouraged to live on campus in the University’s halls of residence to help you integrate into student life.

    New Freshman Merit Scholarships

    • Trustee: US$11,000 award for up to 4 years
    • President: US$10,000 award for up to 4 years
    • Provost: US$8,000 award for up to 4 years
    • Dean: US$7,000 award for up to 4 years
    • Founders: US$6,000 award for up to 4 years
    • Director: US$5,000 award for up to 4 years
    • Opportunity Grant: Up to US$5,000 for up to 4 years

    Graduate

    Graduate Assistantships

    • Amount: Graduate assistants can earn a scholarship of US$237 per credit hour up to an annual maximum of US$5,200
    • Requirements: Midway University offers a limited number of graduate assistant scholarships each year for the fall and spring terms. Graduate assistant candidates must be enrolled full time in the MBA or MSN programs (6 credit hours per semester). Graduate assistants must apply for the position through the Career Opportunities link found on the Midway University website in order to be considered for the scholarship.
