The University of West Alabama (UWA) is a publicly funded university located in the southeastern United States. Their 600 acre campus contains a 60 acre lake, and is located in Livingston. The campus is within travelling distance of New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, and the Gulf Coast beaches.
The University offers a wide range of academic degrees at undergraduate and graduate levels, with 90 majors and minors available. UWA is made up of six colleges and divisions, including business and technology, education, liberal arts, natural sciences and mathematics, nursing, and graduate studies.
All freshmen live in halls of residence during their first year to help them settle in to life at UWA. On campus there are a range of student clubs and organizations you can join, and the University’s athletics teams compete in a number of sports including baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, and rodeo among others.
