Study abroad at Kent State University

Kent State University is a public research university based in Kent, Ohio, USA. It’s made up of eight regional campuses located throughout Northeast Ohio, offering more than 300 academic programs at associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.

The Kent campus features 25 residence halls, 12 living-learning communities including the International Village Experience (IVE), a health center, a student wellness and fitness center, eight sports facilities, a fashion museum, and more than 20 plus restaurants, dining halls and coffee shops.

Kent State currently enrolls around 41,000 students, including over 2,000 international students from 104 different countries. Their 16 varsity athletics teams compete at NCAA Division I level, including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, and golf.

Scholarships are free aid that can help you pay for your degree, especially if you have a strong academic background. As an international student, you’re qualified for many of the Kent State scholarships.

Undergraduate Tuition - $19,288 / year Postgraduate Tuition - $17,622 per year

Global Scholarship - $4,000 per year (international students are automatically consider for it, need to maintain continuous full-time enrolment and good academic standing)

International Freshman Scholarship – $2,000 - $20,000 per year. Merit based scholarship only for Fall admission. GPA 3.6/4 scale, SAT 1280 / ACT 27

International Civic Engagement Scholarship - $2,000 - $31,856 (one time award scholarship). Excellent academics, past civic engagement and volunteering and public presentation skills. GPA 3.0/4

Global Diversity Scholarship - 2,000 - $31,856 (one time award scholarship). Excellent academics, come from underrepresented regions. GPA 3.0/4

UG Merit Based Scholarship (Non-Test Based) - $2,000 - $15,000 (one time award scholarship). GPA 3.0/4. Students are automatically considered for the scholarship if they apply by the deadline.
