Study in Atlanta
All the information you need about studying in Atlanta as an international student.
Why study in Atlanta?
Atlanta is the state capital of Georgia, USA. It’s also one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the country, and is known as being a lively student area with many universities and institutions that have a presence in the city. Atlanta is split into neighborhoods with their own unique feel and purpose: midtown is known as the restaurant, bar and club area, Buckhead is the financial and commercial district, and South Downton is popular with students.
The city has a rapid transit rail system called MARTA that can take people from the airport up to Buckhead and beyond, as well as through Atlanta’s main neighborhoods. There is also a streetcar to get you around the main entertainment and commercial districts of the city.
There are a number of popular attractions that bring people to Atlanta all year round, including theme parks and the world’s largest aquarium. If you’re more interested in the outdoors, then the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Piedmont Park and Centennial Olympic Park, offer green space for recreation and relaxing.
