Why study in Oulu?

Oulu is a city in northern Finland, and is one of the world’s most northerly cities. It is known as a high-tech city, with free wireless internet access, and is home to a number of Finnish IT companies, including Nokia. Oulu is also a popular student city, with several universities, colleges and schools.

The city offers students plenty of cultural attractions, including music concerts, museums and the world famous Air Guitar World Championships. Due to its location, Oulu has a cold climate, with very short summers and an average annual temperature of just 37°F. The city has its own airport which flies to Helsinki and Stockholm, and a railway station that connects Oulu to other major Finnish cities.

How to study in Oulu

When you've found a program you want to study in Oulu you'll need to ensure you meet any requirements before applying, including English language proficiency tests.
