Why study in Kajaani?
Kajaani is a town in Finland, located just southeast of Lake Oulu. The town is home to the Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, and offers a range of amenities to students including cafes, museums, theater, a water fitness center and a variety of shops. The River Kajaaninjoki that runs through the town, provides a variety of recreational and fishing opportunities all year round.
Despite its latitude, the climate in Kajaani is relatively mild with warm summer months, however, winters can be very cold. The town is easy to navigate on foot, but there’s also a bus service you can use to get around. The train station provides links to the local area and runs services to the capital, Helsinki.
