Jyväskylä is a city in central Finland, and is one of the country’s fastest growing cities. The city is famous for its architecture, which is heavily influenced by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. Jyväskylä is a renowned center of education, earning it the nickname of the “Athens of Finland”. As a result, the city has a healthy student population, lively arts scene and nightlife.

The city is also well known as a venue of the World Rally Championships, attracting rally fans from all over the world. Its location in the Finnish Lakeland means Jyväskylä is close to a number of lakes and beaches offering watersports, hiking and great picnic areas.
