Where can you study in Denmark?

Many of Denmark’s universities and higher education institutions are located in the capital city of Copenhagen. Regarded as Denmark’s cultural hub, it offers a huge array of attractions to students including a vibrant nightlife and a wealth of museums and galleries.

What are the requirements to study in Denmark?

Qualifications

International students wanting to apply to universities in Denmark will need to show they have qualifications recognized as being comparable to Danish entrance qualifications. You’ll need to provide certified copies of your educational qualifications, and some institutions require that they receive the documents directly from the issuing institution. This can often take several months, so make sure you sort this in plenty of time. For confirmation on exactly what qualifications you’ll need, contact the university directly.

English language tests

All higher education programs in Denmark require a high standard of English, and you’ll therefore need to prove your English language proficiency when you apply. The TOEFL or IELTS English language tests are often used, so check with the university when you apply to see to which you need, and what score they want.

If you want to study in Denmark you may need to apply for a student visa, depending on where you are from.

EU students will need to get a registration certificate once they are in Denmark, while non-EU students will need to apply for a study visa from their home country before leaving for Denmark.
