Life as an international student

The International Students’ Union of SILC is made up of both Chinese and International students, who organize a range of events and activities. The aim of the Union is to act as a bridge between Chinese and International students and help them integrate into life at SILC.

SILC boasts more than thirty sports teams and societies. Taking part in these is a great way to develop your language skills and to get to know other students. Students can also set up societies to support any particular interests that they may have.

Chinese Language courses at different levels are offered for all international students, each international student is paired with a local student to act as a “buddy” during time at SILC. Your buddy will get in touch before you arrive, and will also help you get to know the campus and surroundings and be your local guide when you get to SILC.
