Study abroad at University of St Joseph

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is a Catholic university in Macau, China of Portuguese roots. The University was established to promote a creative dialogue between the cultural, scientific, ethical and philosophical traditions of China and Europe. USJ offers a range of academic programs at the pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as non-degree programs, offered through the Lifelong Learning Office.

On any day at USJ you may find a concert, debate, public lecture or another academic or cultural activity. Aside from the strong academic programs, being a student at USJ can help you to develop multiple skills and interests. The University is split across three campuses in the city, immersing students in Chinese culture.

Life as an international student

Fees and funding

The University of Saint Joseph is committed to providing excellent educational opportunities to its students, across a broad range of subjects and degree levels at exceptional value.

The USJ Community Fellowship program seeks to support the financial needs of promising students in pursuing their studies at the University.

UG Tuition - MOP$63,00 - 73,000; $7,875 / year PG Tuition - MOP$64,000; $8,000 / year PhD Tuition - MOP$72,000 $9,000

Self funded students only.

Student can apply for a scholarship, but only after they are admitted and paid the first part of the tuition fee. They can sponsor up to 2/3 tuitions.
