Why study in Courtenay?

Courtenay is a city on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It is the only city in the region, known as the Comox valley. The climate in Courtenay is the mildest in Canada, with January temperatures rarely dropping below 32°F.

Courtenay attracts visitors year round and for students there is always something to do; the city is a paleontology hotspot, with the chance of finding fossils of prehistoric sea life. The city is also home to many museums and galleries, and has a food culture of locally sourced produce, seafood and breweries. There are many opportunities for hiking and mountain biking in the area, as well as spotting seals and sea lions.
