Spanish architecture enjoys great prestige worldwide thanks to the fact that training here integrates both its most artistic and technical aspects. Both complement each other perfectly in our school since the future architect will receive training in which all subjects are integrated from the first year, coming to understand what it means and what the role of an architect is today from the first minute.
The quality of life that can be enjoyed in a Mediterranean country is well known - its climate, its history, its culture, its food… In addition, Valencia is a particularly interesting place at this time since it is a city medium in size, cosmopolitan, overlooking the sea, and where life is very comfortable.
It should also be noted that Valencia, given its deep-rooted artistic and creative character, has been chosen as the World Design Capital in 2022, and, for this reason, a number of events are being scheduled that will put the focus even more on Valencia.
Architecture has been in charge of facilitating and improving our living conditions throughout history, both in cities and in the countryside. At a time of paradigm shift like the current one, this work becomes even more relevant, how should we inhabit the planet in a sustainable and respectful way? How can we integrate architecture and nature? How can we improve living conditions? Should cities continue to grow?
Our degree faces all these challenges by contributing different points of view from different professionals and from different countries. For this reason, every year we connect with a different country and with a reference study linked to this destination that will help us understand what architecture is like and what challenges it poses in different places. After these years of training with an expanded vision, the student will be preparing to work with solvency and give answers anywhere in the world.
Being an architect prepares you to contribute to society from very varied and different areas that you will discover throughout your training: landscape, building, urban planning, advice to public or private institutions, interior design, structural calculation, architectural visualization, architectural criticism, etc.
The comprehensively trained architect will be prepared for all of this and, what is more important, will be able to assess it at every moment to make the most appropriate decision.
