"Traditional Chinese medicine originated in ancient China and has evolved over thousands of years. Practitioners use herbs, acupuncture, massage, and other methods to treat a wide range of medical conditions in their patients. The University of Bridgeport’s Acupuncture Institute (UBAI) is proud to offer the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (D-TCM) degree program, a comprehensive training in Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, adjunctive therapies, and biomedicine at the graduate level."

Most of the accepted applicants have at least 75 on TOEFL, 6.0 on IELTS, or 90 on Duolingo. If you have taken another English test (iTEP, PTE, etc.), please submit the scores. Students whose score is insufficient may still apply for Conditional Admission.

Students should have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (out of 4.0 scale), with some programs requiring a higher GPA. Students will need to submit official transcripts (translated to English), letter of recommendation, statement of purpose, and proof of English proficiency (if applicable).
GPAs vary by graduate program and range between 2.7 to 3.0 (out of 4.0 scale). Students will need to submit official transcripts (translated to English), two letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, resume/CV, and proof of English proficiency (if applicable).
Fees and funding
- Undergraduate tuition 31 920 USD per year
- Graduate tuition ranges from 11 400 to 26988 USD per year
International Undergraduate Scholarship
Academic scholarships range from $5,000 to $20,000 per academic year and are based on academic excellence and English proficiency. Awarded to incoming undergraduate international students.
International Graduate Scholarship
We are very pleased to announce that the University of Bridgeport offers an international graduate scholarship program for incoming international graduate students. There are three amounts awarded:
