"This research master's in natural resources is for graduates and professionals looking for greater knowledge and expertise in natural resources and sustainable development.


The MSc consists of a selection of taught courses (from our MSc Global Environmental Change and MSc Agriculture for Sustainable Development) plus an extended research project which enables you to focus on an aspect relevant to your interests.


The programme provides awareness of natural resources, their management and sustainable development. You'll also understand how to apply the principles of sustainable natural resource management to your own discipline.

Admissions requirements

Postgraduate academic requirements

For entry to the Master's programs, you will need to have met the following:

  • Bachelor's degree with a UK 2:2 minimum average grade; or equivalent

Please note: For some courses, you will need to have studied relevant subjects at university to be eligible. The university's admissions team will determine this once you apply.

English requirements

  • IELTS: 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each component)
  • Pearson Test of English: 51
  • TOEFL iBT: 72
  • European Baccalaureate:: Grade 6
  • Cambridge Advanced: C1 (169)

Please note: You’ll need higher scores for programs and/or subjects such as Architecture, Law, Midwifery, Nursing, Paramedic Science, Social Work, Primary Education and Early Years.

  • MPhil/PhD programs: The IELTS minimum requirement is 6.5 (and 6.5 minimum average grade in each component)

Fees and funding

For the majority of University of Greenwich programs, the fees for international students in the 2019-20 academic year are £13,000 per year for undergraduate courses and £13,500 - £14,500 per year for postgraduate taught courses.

Funding
