Program Overview

What Erasmus University of Rotterdam says about their program:
"Make the most of the large variety of courses on offer and learn how best to allocate resources, organise businesses, and make recommendations based on first-rate analyses."

Admissions requirements

When your application has been received, it will be determined whether your secondary school diploma is sufficient for being admissible to the IBEB program, or if you have any deficiencies. Once it is confirmed that you are admissible, your application will be reviewed by the selection committee who will decide whether you are offered a place in the program.

Undergraduate: IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 80

Postgraduate: IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.5) / TOEFL 91 (no band below 22)

Students who obtained a bachelor's degree from a native English speaking country such as Australia, Canada (except Quebec), New Zealand, South Africa, US, Ireland, or the UK, will not need to fullfil English requirements.

Undergraduate

In the Netherlands, students holding a VWO-diploma can enter a bachelor's program at a research university. Therefore, international students are eligible for the IBEB program with a secondary school diploma equivalent to the VWO-diploma.

Students can also seek admission on the basis of an IB diploma (specific English and math requirements apply).

If you have a non-Dutch secondary school diploma which is not equivalent to the VWO diploma, there is still a chance your application will be considered for admission. Students will need to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and skills of English language and mathematics in order to be admissible for the program.

Postgraduate

You must hold a degree equivalent to the BSc in Economics and Business Economics offered by Erasmus School of Economics. Your bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, finance or business (administration) needs to be equivalent in both level and content.

Fall semester (September): application opens November 1

For bachelor's programs: deadline is April 1 For graduate programs: deadline is May 1
