Undergraduate

  • A completed SPU Application or the Common Application.
  • $50 application fee
  • Essays. You’ll submit this with your application. Have fun and be authentic.
  • Test scores

    Applicants for Fall 2021 can choose whether or not to submit ACT or SAT scores.

  • ACT and the SAT are both accepted. We recommend taking both tests, and then retaking the one where you scored the highest. To be official, the test agency needs to send the scores (this can take two to four weeks) or be listed on your official high school transcript. SPU can review updated test scores post-application, but they must be received by our office by February 1.
  • Official high school transcript. Your high school counselor can mail an official transcript in a sealed envelope to our office. You can forward a sealed envelope, as long as you receive it from your high school. A 2.5 or better GPA out of 4.0 is recommended.

Graduate

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least two letters of recommendation.
  • Complete official transcripts from any college or university you’ve attended.
  • A 3.0 or better GPA in your most recent 45 quarter credits, or in all undergraduate work.
  • A passing score on the entrance exam for your program.
  • Satisfaction of program-specific entrance requirements.
  • Payment of the application fee of $50 or $75, depending on the program.
