As a student of Hospitality and Tourism Experience Management, you will learn the necessary skills to succeed in the customer service industry. Keep in mind; this also includes the new and exciting field of experience. Our studies provide students with an extensive professional learning experience. You are immediately put on the path towards earning a Bachelor's degree. As a graduate, you will be choosing one of many careers within the hospitality, tourism, and experience industry. The jobs include positions in management, entrepreneurship, industry specialist, or service and sales."

Admissions requirements

You can apply to Haaga-Helia´s UAS degree programs conducted in English in September or January. The application process includes an entrance examination held in Finland or an SAT test. There are also other shorter application periods for some programmes during the year.

Entry requirements

As an alternative to entrance examinations, you can apply to Haaga-Helia with the SAT test. Order the official SAT score report from the test organizer to be delivered to Haaga-Helia, the code for Haaga-Helia UAS is 7098. This is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test administered by the College Board. All eligible applicants who earn the required minimum points will be accepted.

Required scores for Bachelors:

  • 500 points Evidence-based reading and writing
  • 500 points Math

Required scores for Masters:

  • 600 points in section Evidence-based reading and writing ranging from 200–800.
  • 6 points in section SAT Essay

Please note! In addition to SAT scores, you need to have a higher secondary degree (e.g. high school diploma) to apply to Haaga-Helia.

Fees and funding

Funding

Early Bird Scholarship

  • First year can get 25% off tuition fee.
  • For applicants who accept their study place within 14 days and pay the tuition fee of the first semester within 30 days of receiving the acceptance letter.

Academic merit-based scholarships

  • Applicants for undergraduate programs exceeding SAT scores of 1450 points will be offered a study place at Haaga-Helia with a 50% scholarship of the entire degree. Five such scholarships are offered per year (2 for the January intake, 3 for the August intake).

Master-level scholarships

  • Students can apply for two different scholarships.
  • A scholarship based on study progress can be awarded to a Master's degree student who has completed a minimum of 60 ECTS credits during the two consecutive semesters 1 & 2.
  • A scholarship based on statutory graduation time can be awarded to a student who has graduated during the second or third semester.
  • Both of these scholarships are 20% of the semesterly tuition fee.
