"The MA in Fine Art offers an exciting opportunity for students to expand and deepen their knowledge and practice. This dynamic programme will support you by engaging with the challenges inherent in building your artistic practice. It provides you with a framework within which you will experiment, work through personal investigations, and be encouraged to work in the medium/s most appropriate to your ideas. Subject themed seminars focused on contemporary art now, alongside group critiques of your visual work integrate practice and theory, and provide a forum for sharing and exploring perspectives. Applying critical reflection and locating your work within a contemporary environment of ideas, you will develop your practice to produce a substantial body of work."
Students from all over the world are welcome for foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programs, English language studies and university preparation courses.
UG/PG IETLS 6.0 (no band below 5.5) Journalism and Nursing require an IELTS 7.0
Undergraduate (Bachelors) Successful completion of a University or Polytechnic Diploma lower credit or Completion of a recognised foundation course
Postgraduate (Masters) Bachelors degree with a minimum of a second class.
Fall Semester (September) - deadline is ongoing 6 weeks before the start of program
Fees and funding
Getting value for money from your tuition fees is about more than just making sure you have great academic staff to learn from. That is why the University charges the same tuition fees for all students irrespective of what subject you are studying.
The University of Gloucestershire can offer a range of funding awards for international students.
Students will be automatically considered for the merit scholarship upon receiving an offer for the above courses and will be notified by the admissions team if successful.
Merit Scholarship (50% off first year tuition fees) for MBA, Master of Finance, master's of Accounting & Finance, BA Graphic Design, MA Landscape Architecture, MA Film Making.
Other awards (given automatically):
- £2,000 (students from Canada, China, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, UK, USA)
- £4,000 (students from Africa, Vietnam and Latin America)
