If so, this Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering degree with optional sandwich year is your ideal next move. You can study it as a Bachelor's degree over 3 years (BEng) or integrated Master's degree over 4 years (MEng).
This branch of engineering focuses on powering the world, and the infrastructure around this. From energy conversion and storage technology, to low carbon heating systems, electrical circuit analysis and large network grids, you'll study a variety of topics in this constantly evolving area.

For September 2020 entry onwards, eligible students will be able to receive the Vice Chancellor's Global Development Scholarship. This scholarship will take the form of a £1,600 fee reduction that will apply to your first year of study.

This scholarship will take the form of a £5,000 fee reduction that will apply to your first year of study. This scholarship is merit based and applicants would need to have met all their offer conditions by 1st June 2020 (for September 2020 entry).

Self-funding students who have previously studied an undergraduate course at the University of Portsmouth or at a collaborative institution and eligible for a 20% on most postgraduate courses, provided the course is not at a lower level than their highest qualification. Students who studied at Portsmouth under the Study Abroad programme are also eligible for the alumni discount.
