If your goal is to teach high school sciences, there is a track specifically designed for you, and will satisfy the requirements leading to a Pennsylvania Secondary Teaching Certificate in Earth and Space Science. By adding courses in chemistry and biology, you will also satisfy the requirements for a Pennsylvania teaching certification in general science."

  • Applicants to bachelor’s degree programs must have obtained a high school diploma, that is eligible for further academic studies in the country where it was earned.
  • A minimum 2.5 GPA is required for first-time freshmen students and 2.0 GPA minimum for transfer students.

  • The #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship was developed as a result of U.S. higher education institutions’ commitment to providing a welcoming, safe and diverse environment to international students.
  • Wilkes is proud to support this initiative by offering two annual, renewable scholarships for up to four years of study. The scholarships are open to first-year international students admitted for undergraduate degree-seeking study at Wilkes University. Successful applicants will be dedicated to furthering the #YouAreWelcomeHereexternal website message by bridging intercultural divides.

Merit Scholarships

International student merit scholarships are based on previous academic performance. Scholarships are awarded at the time of admission decision after all required materials has been received.

  • Freshman Scholarships

  • From $19,000 to $28,000 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study

  • Transfer Scholarships

  • From $11,000 to $19,000 per year for undergraduate studies

Jay Sidhu Scholarship

  • From $1,000 to $5,000 additional scholarship money
  • Must be a citizen of India and have GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must enroll as a first-year student at Wilkes and reside on-campus and be the first time studying in the USA on an F-1 visa
