"The BSBA Online program is highly recognized and the first AACSB-accredited Online Business Administration Degree Completion Program offered by a California university. The program is designed as a two-year, fully online program for transfer students offered in cooperation with the College of Business and Economics and Cal State East Bay University Extension. The coursework in the Human Resources Management/Organizational Behavior (HRM/OB) concentration centers on how firms can best utilize their most critical resource, their employees, to create a work environment that promotes excellence. It prepares students for careers in HRM and also general management by providing a depth of knowledge in HRM functions, and also a breadth in the soft skills necessary for effective leadership, in a variety of organizations. Coursework is concerned with recruiting and selecting the best employees, determining fair compensation, learning how to comply with employment laws, performance management, people analytics, negotiations, leadership, creativity, and managing diverse teams."

Admissions requirements

Undergraduate academic requirements

  • Non-resident or non-California high school graduates with A-G GPA of 3.0 or greater will qualify without needing additional Campus Admission Category values (i.e., 3.0 GPA X 800 = 2,400 points).

English requirements

Postgraduate

  • IELTS: 6.5

English proficiency waivers

Undergraduate TOEFL or IELTS can be waived for applicants who meet English proficiency by coursework as follows:

  • Transferred from a U.S. college with 60 or more semester units with a minimum grade point average of 2.4, and have completed a transfer course in each of the following general education areas with a grade of 2.0 or better

    English composition, speech, critical thinking, and mathematics.

Postgraduate

  • TOEFL or IELTS can be waived for applicants who received a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. college or university, or an international college or university OR demonstrated 3 years of full-time academic study at a post-secondary level in a country where the language of instruction was English as accepted by Cal State East Bay.

  • WES evaluations are required for students who have earned a 3-year degree (course-by-course)

Postgraduate

  • Have the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree If you were educated outside of the US, you must have earned a degree equivalent to a 4-year US bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. An official determination of eligibility will be made during the application process.
  • Have the equivalent of a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Demonstrate English language proficiency
  • WES evaluations are required for students who have earned a 3-year degree (course-by-course)
