Applicants must achieve the required grade in their qualifying studies and also meet prerequisite subjects if required.

Admission to most masters by coursework courses at the University of Tasmania require qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree.

Applicants must achieve the required grade in their qualifying studies, meet any prerequisite subjects and the English language requirements to be eligible for an offer.

Applications are accepted at any time for most courses (with the exception of those noted below).

International students should apply at least 3 months prior to semester start date.

Fees and funding

All international students who submit an International Student Application to study in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Tasmania will be automatically assessed for the TIS Scholarship by the Admissions Team. If you are successful, this will be outlined in your UTAS Offer.

UG/PG by Coursework - Tasmanian International Scholarship - Academic Merit provides 25% of tuition for the duration of the course, subject to student maintaining the grades. Students are automatically assessed for the scholarship during application.
