The Applied Engineering and Technology Management (AETM) program will prompt you to develop a broad perspective of the purpose and functions of engineering and technology, while acquiring a deep knowledge of the applied engineering concentration of your choice. 


This major, housed within Millersville University's Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology department, recognizes that employers are looking for well-educated professionals to meet the needs of today’s global society. Through your study at MU, you will gain the knowledge and skills to transform into a highly qualified professional ready to meet the challenges of an exciting career in the technical business, industry, government or education fields. 


Available concentrations in Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting & Design (CADD), Construction Management, General Technology, Graphic Communication, Nanofabrication Technology, and Robotics & Control Systems will refine and specialize your study.


Graduates of this program receive a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Engineering and Technology Management, which is accredited by The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE)."

English proficiency waivers

  • U.S. high school: Graduation from an accredited U.S. high school or U.S. Department of Defense School overseas. Must have attended for at least consecutive three years.
  • U.S. degree: Completion of a regionally accredited associate's degree
  • Degrees outside of the U.S.: High school (secondary school) diploma and/or citizenship from an English-speaking country
  • International baccalaureate (IB): Successful completion of the full IB Diploma Programme in English
  • GCSE/GCE: Score of “C” or better on the English language exam
  • Ethiopian General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (EGSECE) or Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination (EHEEE): English section minimum result of A or 75
  • WARC (West African Exam Council): score of C6 or better

Entry requirements

For Postgraduate programs: Applicants for some degree programs are required to submit official score reports from an appropriate standardized test. If required, an official score report for the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), or the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and Writing Proficiency Test (WPT).

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARS (ISS) MERIT AWARD

This award is a 4-year scholarship available to undergraduate students. This is a renewable scholarship and in order to continue receiving the award you must meet the following criteria each year:

  • Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program
  • Be enrolled in 12+ credits each semester
  • Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA
