What California State University, Long Beach says about their program:
"The Department of Anthropology recently added a methods course requirement in the B.A. program. Starting in Fall 2017, all anthropology majors, including transfer students, are required to take at least one methods course from a menu of courses representing the four-fields of anthropology. The goal of the methods courses is to ensure our students acquire hands-on and marketable research skills in at least one of the subfields. Students build upon their skills in anthropology by taking upper division anthropology courses, providing students with an articulated degree plan that prepares them for a range of career and graduate school opportunities. We encourage students to take additional methods courses while at CSULB to gain invaluable experience working with faculty and discovering new skills through research projects and field schools. "
