"This programme aims to develop the knowledge and skills of a Bachelor’s-level graduate Mechanical Engineering to Masters level through advanced teaching, design work and research. It provides an opportunity for candidates from a different Engineering background to develop key Mechanical Engineering knowledge and skills required for their professional development. A key objective of the programme is to be an accredited route to becoming a Chartered Engineer."

There is no English test required if you have a bachelor's degree.

A first class or upper second honors degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, and computer science or other relevant disciplines with a numerate background. The equivalent overseas qualifications will be assessed.

International Merit Awards

Heriot-Watt University welcomes students from all over the world. The International Undergraduate and Postgraduate Merit Awards are designed to help you fund your studies on any of the Edinburgh-based undergraduate or taught postgraduate programs at UK campuses.

Students eligible for the £1,500 - £3,000 Merit Awards will be identified as part of the academic admissions process and therefore you do not need to complete a separate application form. Successful candidates will have the award detailed on their offer letters and CAS letters. To secure your scholarship you simply accept your offer of a place to study.
