"Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) graduates are not only prepared for a wide variety of employment opportunities but also meet the course and credit requirements to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Our graduates are recruited by local, regional, national, and international accounting firms, private industry, and governmental agencies. Recent successes in MPA graduate placement and CPA exam results provide evidence of the MPA program quality and market demand for its graduates.

Southern Mississippi is one of the most affordable public research institutions of its kind. Annual non-resident tuition is kept at an affordable rate of only $2,000 more than the resident tuition rate. The University prides itself in being able to offer affordable access to education for all.
Merit and Honors College scholarships are available to international students and range from a total of $2,000-$4,000 per year. Freshman Merit and Honors College scholarships are only awarded for Fall and require admission by December 1st with qualifying SAT or ACT results for consideration. International applicants may also apply to a wide range of departmental scholarships through the USM Scholarship Foundation.
