How to study in St. Petersburg

Before being accepted into one of St. Petersburg’s excellent universities, you must complete your secondary education and meet the program entry requirements for the university you'd like to attend. Admissions criteria differ between institutions, so make sure you familiarize yourself with these before applying.

After accepting a university place and paying any requested enrollment fees, you can begin the student visa application process. Only nationals from the Commonwealth of Independent States are exempt from student visa requirements.
