The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s largest and highest-ranked institution. Founded in 1883, the University is located across eight sites all situated in and around the city of Auckland.

University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship

  • Amount - Up to NZ$10,000 per year
  • Requirements - Full-time master's degree in the Faculty of Arts.
  • Opening date - 30 March and 19 September
  • Closing date - 11 May (Semester Two) and 31 October (Semester One)

University of Auckland Vietnam Excellence Scholarship

  • Amount - Up to NZ$10,000
  • Requirements - New full-fee paying international students from Vietnam undertaking either a Postgraduate Diploma or master's degree of 120 points or more, excluding master's by thesis, or an undergraduate degree (with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications)
  • Opening date - 10 October (Semester One intake) and 9 March (Semester Two intake)
  • Closing date - 21 November (Semester One intake) and 20 April (Semester Two intake)

University of Auckland International School Leaver Scholarship

  • Amount - Up to NZ$20,000
  • Requirements - New international New Zealand school-leavers undertaking an undergraduate degree, commencing in Semester One
  • Opening date - 5 December
  • Closing date - 18 January

Faculty of Arts International Masters Degree Scholarship

  • Amount - Up to NZ$10,000
  • Requirement - Full-time master's degree in the Faculty of Arts
  • Opening date - 30 March and 19 September
  • Closing date - 11 May (Semester Two) and 31 October (Semester One)
