Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) is based in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. The University offers programs preparing students for the job market and to be creative and socially active professionals.
The University focuses its study on engineering, technologies and IT, but also provides study programs in other fields, for example architecture, and management. A wider range of programs in science are available to VGTU doctoral students.
Students have a choice of accommodation and can live on campus in a University dormitory, a private hostel or renting an apartment in the city.

New international students are each given a VGTU student mentor, which is a student volunteer. The mentor can help you integrate into student life at VGTU and will offer you information such as directions, practical advice and support.
Students are encouraged to develop talents and skills whilst studying at the University. There are several clubs for students to join, many with a strong arts focus — the most prominent being the theater, orchestra, choir and dance clubs. There is also a focus on sports with VGTU athletes participating in inter-university, national, European and even world competitions.

Tuition fees for undergraduate and graduate studies at VGTU vary from €2,700 to €4,000 per year. All students must pay a €100 application fee and €200 registration fee. Most of the study material is provided by the University and there are no extra fees charged from the student.
The best International students applying to the first year of bachelor’s or master's degree studies at VGTU can be awarded a scholarship (tuition fee free place) for the academic year 2019-2020.
The best International students applying to the first year of bachelor’s or master's degree studies at VGTU can be awarded a scholarship (tuition fee free place) for the academic year 2019-2020. International students can also apply for a partial (50%) scholarship.
Six international full-time students with the highest grade point average (not less than 9.00 out of 10.00) are awarded a scholarship of 150 EUR every month for a semester. The scholarship applies only to enrolled students who studied at least one semester at VGTU and has a grade point average of the semester.
UG students can work in Lithuania for up to 20 hours per week after their first year of studies. PG students can work after 4-5 months of studies.
