Venice is a unique city in the world, safe, full of activities and places to discover, people are very friendly, it is a city full of history and culture. An excellent city for students, with many discounts and activities that allow you to know the serenissima from another point of view and not as a tourist.

The transportation is magical, taking the vaporetto is one of the things that fascinates me the most as well as getting lost in the streets of this beautiful city.

There are also many stores for shopping, full of fashion, culture, local markets where you find local things of the city, as the rialto market where you can find the fish of the Adriatic and much of the Venetian culture.

The nightlife for students is incredible, having an aperitif near the canal, doing the bakaro tour, drinking the best spritz in the world and enjoying the pleasure of good food is a pleasure.

Well, I would simply start that Venice IS JUST MARVELLOUS! Despite stereotypes, it's quite comfortable to live here. The transportation system is very developed. People are welcoming, though it's better to know a bit of Italian before your arrival, at least some basic words and general phrases. The shops are hidden here, with no bright signboards, but actually there are many of them. Nightlife is not very diverse, though there are still a few night clubs here! As for safety, I would say that Venice is the safest city I've ever lived in. But there's a mainland's part of the city called Mestre, the area next to the station isn't very safe during night time, but I think it happens in many European cities as well.
