Founded in 1969, The American University of Rome is the oldest American degree-granting institution in Rome, Italy. It provides American liberal arts education in English to bright-minded students from all over the world.

  • Undergraduate tuition: EUR21,000 per year

Funding

Merit-based AUR Scholarships For new incoming degree-seeking students at AUR, there is ONE application for all of the below merit-based scholarships at AUR. You can apply for multiple scholarships that are applicable to you, however, please note that you can only be awarded one merit-based scholarship. While these scholarships are not able to be combined with each other, they can be combined with a financial need scholarship and/or a student training position. Each academic year, a maximum of €7,000 or $8,000 annually will be awarded to up to three students per scholarship.

  • Amount: Variable (up to 20% of tuition fees)
  • Requirements: Minimum GPA of 3.0

Need-based AUR Scholarships Offered to students who have found themselves in financial hardship and need financial assistance. Based on family income.

  • Amount: Variable (up to 20% of tuition fees)
  • Priority Deadlines Fall semester April 1st; Spring semester November 1st
