Study in Limerick
All the information you need about studying in Limerick as an international student.
Why study in Limerick?
Limerick is a large Irish city located in the southern province of Munster. The city is known for its 13th century King John’s Castle and medieval history linked to its position on the river Shannon. Modern highlights include the city’s many festivals throughout the year such as Oktoberfest, St. Patrick’s Day, and Riverfest — this is in addition to a number of arts venues and theaters with their own regular events.
The city’s three universities make up a student population of over 20,000. Many students walk to explore the city, but the introduction of self service bike rental means getting around is quicker and affordable. Shannon airport is just 30 minutes away by car, enabling international students to see more of Europe during their studies.
