Life as an international student

KAMO is the Student Union of KAMK. It’s a non-profit association, which looks after the interests of KAMK students. KAMO organizes events for students throughout the academic year, including outdoor recreation days, social meet ups and parties, offering students the chance to meet like-minded students.

All international students are welcomed to KAMK, and current students can meet you on arrival and introduce you to your accommodation; this begins a four day orientation program to help you settle in. KAMK also runs a Friend Family Program that offers international students the opportunity to learn about the Finnish culture and language as they are paired with families from the Kainuu area.
