International Hanken students are actively involved in extracurricular activities such as in committees, sports, and student societies; the University’s students’ union caters to a variety of interests.

The Master’s Committee is a part of the students’ union that caters mainly to master's students. They provide all new master's students with tutors prior to arrival and organize social and professional events to make sure you get the most from your time at Hanken.

Fees and funding


Tuition - €12,500 per year for non-EU/EEA citizens

There are certain exemptions:

  • Family members of an EU / EEA citizen (spouse / child; 'EU –Family Member' stated on the residence permit card)
  • Already residing in Finland on a permanent basis (i.e. are equivalent to an EU citizen, continuous or permanent residence permit type

NO tuition fee for EU/EEA citizens


Scholarships given through the scholarship committee are based on the most suitable students, taking into account academic achievement and financial need. The motivation letter at application influences the scholarships.

Hanken premium scholarship

Covers the full tuition fee and €8,000 per year living expenses.

Hanken honors scholarship

Covers the full tuition fee.

Hanken support scholarship

Covers 50% of the tuition fee.
