What Lake Land College says about their program:

Prepare yourself for employment in any medical facility through the Medical Coding & Health Information Program. Medical coding programs present a comprehensive study of both diagnostic and procedural coding using nationally recognized ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding. The programs are offered all online. Upon successful completion of the program, you can sit for coding exams available through national organizations such as the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

In Medical Coding, you will have an opportunity to choose hospital and clinical setting internships or complete the hospital and clinical certificate prep classes. Students in an office setting receive credit for the one hour internship course. The certificate prep classes provide you with practice tests to help prepare you to sit for the CPC (Certified Professional Coder) credential and the CCA (Certified Coding Associate) credential.

Foundation Scholarships

    Up to US$5,000

  • Requirements

    Applications should be completed annually as scholarships are awarded on an annual basis. Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will be accepted from November 1, 2023-February 1, 2024 and from August 1-August 31, 2024. Lake Land College Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students based on a wide range of criteria. Only one application is required to be considered for all Foundation Scholarships.
