Join world-leading research teams with diverse expertise to study for a research degree in Mathematical Sciences (MPhil/PhD) at the University of Greenwich

We offer advanced research training opportunities across a broad range of areas, including mathematics, statistics data science, and numerical analysis.

Research activities are supported by three world-class research centres: the Centre for Sustainable Cybersecurity, the Centre for Safety, resilience and Protective Security and the Centre for Advanced Simulation and Modelling.

You will initiate and interpret new knowledge, led by your understanding of a substantial body of knowledge in your academic discipline. Recent projects by our research students span an incredibly diverse range of topics including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics and Pure/Applied Mathematics. Once you complete your training, you'll be ideally suited to work in academic or industrial research environments.

Fees and funding

For the majority of University of Greenwich programs, the fees for international students in the 2019-20 academic year are £13,000 per year for undergraduate courses and £13,500 - £14,500 per year for postgraduate taught courses.

  • Requirements

    This bursary is worth £5,000 for a postgraduate student enrolled on MSc Water, Waste and Environmental Engineering and could offer you £5,000 during your studies. In order to apply, you should have received first-class honours or a 2:1 and be entering into MSc Water, Waste and Environmental Engineering at our Medway Campus.
