Movement is part of our everyday lives. It allows us to go to work, to play sports, to feed ourselves and to socialize and Kinesiology is the multidisciplinary study of human body movement. At RDP, the Kinesiology and Sport Studies Diploma program will specialize in fitness and health promotion for the general population.

In this program, the study of human body movement will focus on the anatomical, physiological, psychological, nutritional, and mechanical knowledge with a specific focus on assessment and prescription of exercise to achieve positive health-related outcomes for the general population. With this broad understanding of health and fitness, you can promote wellness through the development of healthy lifestyle habits.

  • In order to gain admission into an RDP program, international applicants must also meet the academic program requirements. A secondary education diploma is mandatory for most cases. Information may vary per program.
  • International applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements.

All English Language Proficiency tests must have been obtained within two years of start date of program.

English proficiency waivers

  • Applicants who declare English as first language are exempt from English Language Proficiency requirements.
  • Applicants applying to the Academic Upgrading program are not required to demonstrate English Language Proficiency at the levels noted for credit programs. Placement assessments are used for admission to these programs.

- An athletic award is a monetary sum provided to Student-Athletes with the condition of being a member of a RDP Athletic Team. The maximum dollar value you can receive in athletic recruitment awards is the total amount of tuition and compulsory fees for the academic year.
