The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences program with a concentration in Allied Health will prepare students for graduate degree programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician’s assistant and other chosen allied health professions. The concentration provides a strong foundation of knowledge in the biological sciences, health sciences, public health, humanities, and social sciences. Additional courses in the curriculum for health care management will provide students the opportunity to consider the health care management path in their profession.
Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences can pursue careers in a variety of healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and community organizations. The degree also prepares a graduate for pursuing a degree in nursing or furthering their education in graduate studies such as public health, health psychology, human services, healthcare management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, and various other allied health professions.
