Become an asset to any business with the IT-Desktop Publishing program. As a desktop publisher, you will be able to use publishing software to create page layouts for print or electronic publication. In addition to designing pages, you may edit or write text. Some desktop publishers might be responsible for correcting spelling, punctuation and grammar, or for writing original content themselves. Your responsibilities may vary widely from project to project and employer to employer. Smaller firms typically use graphic designers to perform a wide range of tasks, while desktop publishers at larger firms may specialize in one part of the publishing process.

Foundation Scholarships

  • Amount

    Up to US$5,000

  • Requirements

    Applications should be completed annually as scholarships are awarded on an annual basis. Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will be accepted from November 1, 2023-February 1, 2024 and from August 1-August 31, 2024. Lake Land College Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students based on a wide range of criteria. Only one application is required to be considered for all Foundation Scholarships.
