Admission requirements

Undergraduate academic requirements

  • All applicants are required to have successfully completed secondary school education to be considered for admission.

English requirements

  • TOEFL iBT

    46-60 (Reading: 8+, Listening: 8+, Speaking: 14+, Writing: 18+)

  • IELTS

    5.5 (No subscore below 5)

  • Duolingo English Test

    95-100 (Writing 115)

  • SAT

    490 or higher on Reading and Writing Section

  • ACT

    18 (Reading and Writing both must be 18)

English proficiency waivers

  • Completed High School or University in specific countries, with a C grade equivalent or higher
  • Test scores or other proof of English accepted for Transfer Students with previous US English Institute or high school but not for previous College or University.

  • Transcripts

    Scanned, from your most recent school (university or secondary school) and if you attend or attended a school in the USA, from all US schools attended.

  • Diploma of previous studies
  • Proof of Finances

    A letter or statement from your bank (or your sponsors), dated within the last 6 months, and verifying that you currently have enough funds available to pay for one academic year.

  • Passport ID Page

    A copy showing your picture, passport number, full name, date of birth, and issuing country

  • Proof of language proficiency
  • Transfer status verification form (if applicable)

Fees and funding

Funding

New International Student Scholarship

- Amount: From US$500 to US$3,500 - Requirements: Available to students who have never been a student at Lane previously. Require recipients to be full-time F-1 international student on Lane's I-20. Require recipients to volunteer 25 hours of service.

Nationality Based - Diversity Scholarships

- Amount: US$1,000 - Requirements: This diversity scholarship is for students from Benin, Brazil, Cambodia, Colombia, Cote d'Ivoire, Kazakhstan, Peru, Sweden, Thailand, Vietnam, Togo, and South Korea.
