The Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences (BAAS) program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi builds on the knowledge and skills that students with formal training in a vocational-technical studies area have acquired. Students may choose from 8 different tracks to obtain the degree. Each track is designed to meet a workforce need and is comprised of interdisciplinary course requirements.

Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of concepts and practices within community-accepted standards relevant to each track. As part of this degree, you’ll perfect your communication skills and apply professional and ethical awareness in the practices of your fields.

  • Students who graduate high school within the high school class quartile below will be guaranteed admission if the required diploma type is earned.
  • Although not required for admission purposes, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit SAT or ACT scores to the university for academic advising and enrollment purposes.

Fees and funding

Funding

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi offers scholarships to eligible international students. In order for funds to be annually disbursed, undergraduate students must be enrolled at A&M-Corpus Christi in a minimum of 30 semester credit hours in an academic year. Graduate students must complete at 18 hours or 21 hours (if a student has a major in the College of Science & Engineering) of graduate level courses in an academic year. Undergraduate and graduate students must also meet the specified scholarship requirements. Undergraduate students may receive the scholarship for a maximum of four years of undergraduate study. Graduate students may be awarded for a maximum of two years.
