Admission requirements

Undergraduate academic requirements

  • Successful completion of high school curriculum at a accredited school
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA in core classes (math, science, social studies, foreign language, literature) — not cumulative, or equivalent
  • For international transfer applicants with college credit obtained outside of the United States, Brenau University requires an official course-by-course foreign transcript evaluation from a NACES-accredited organization

Postgraduate academic requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study
  • 3.0 GPA (or it's equivalent) on all college transcripts

Funding

Merit Scholarships These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and merit at the high school level. Recipients typically have an SAT score of 1000 or better or an ACT composite score of 21 or better, accompanied by a 3.0-grade point average in a college-preparatory curriculum. The Brenau Scholarship Committee will determine the award based on these minimum criteria and the level of coursework attempted by the applicant.

    Ranges between $8,000 - $16,000

Athletic Scholarships Student-athletes who play on varsity basketball, soccer, swimming, softball, tennis, volleyball, cross country or track and field teams may apply for athletic scholarships. The scholarships are based on try-outs and recommendations by coaches

Program Scholarships Different programs offer scholarships based on audition, GPA and/or portfolio review. Nursing, Dance, Theatre, Music, Studio Art, and Interior Design may offer scholarships to qualified candidates.
