Study abroad at the University of West Alabama
The University of West Alabama (UWA) is a publicly funded university located in the southeastern United States. Their 600 acre campus is located in the city of Livingston, and contains 60 acre lake. The campus is within travelling distance of New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, and the Gulf Coast beaches.
The University offers a wide range of academic degrees at undergraduate and graduate levels, with 90 majors and minors available. UWA is made up of six colleges and divisions, including business and technology, education, liberal arts, natural sciences and mathematics, nursing, and graduate studies.
All freshmen live in halls of residence during their first year to help them settle in to life at UWA. On campus there are a range of student clubs and organizations you can join, and the University’s athletics teams compete in a number of sports including baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, and rodeo among others.

Trustee Academic Awards Awards are made to incoming freshmen (or transfers with less than 24 credit hours) with a 21 or higher ACT/1060 or higher SAT or 3.0 GPA. Scholarships are renewable for up to four academic years with the maintenance of a minimum 3.0 GPA. On-campus residency is required for two years to maintain the full value of Trustee scholarships.

Available to on campus freshmen that have been recognized by their high school as one of the top two students in their graduating senior class. Students must meet unconditional admissions standards (19 or higher ACT/990 SAT). On-campus residency is required for the first two years at UWA for recipients. Must submit online UWA Scholarship Application.

The University isn't too big, that way no transport was needed for the students and wouldn't be necessary. The communication throughout the University was awesome, a lot of friendly people and you were included immediately.
The University of West Alabama has about 1500 students. It has a small but really nice campus
The University has complete facilities, well-equipped accommodation. Even though small, the school has students from diverse backgrounds so it provides great chances to socialize with the locals and people around the world. No public transportation here so it would be the best to own one.
