Long Island University is a private US university that’s based over two independent campuses known as LIU Post and LIU Brooklyn. The two locations give students very different experiences; one in a friendly, relaxed community and the other in a vibrant city location.

LIU Brooklyn’s campus is located close to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, and is home to more than 7,000 students. Student halls, academic facilities and lecture theaters are located in a mixture of traditional and modern buildings that are all connected by a series of enclosed bridges.

LIU Brooklyn offers a wide range of academic programs across seven colleges, including pathway programs exclusive to international students. The University also has a thriving entrepreneurial community, with two successful student-run businesses operating on campus.

You can join one of the many student clubs and organizations that cover a wide range of interests and activities. You can also join organizations that relate to your career path, including the American Public Health Association Student Assembly, the Sport Management Club, or the Pharmacy Student Leadership Council.

Funding

International students are eligible for merit-based scholarships and are automatically reviewed for scholarships by our admissions committee at the time of admission. Additionally, international students are eligible for on-campus job opportunities and graduate assistantships.
