BLC specializes in liberal arts and offers 51 programs in fields like nursing, education, business, law, English, and graphic design. All of the 35 major programs on offer at BLC lead to a Bachelor of Arts degree, except for the nursing major, which results in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Life at Bethany Lutheran College

Students from over 20 countries attend BLC. To support international students, BLC offers a comprehensive program to help you adjust to life at an American university. This includes a three-week summer orientation before your first semester, English as a Second Language (ESL) courses if needed, and mentorship.

The International Student Services Center assists with personal and cultural adjustment, travel to and from the United States, employment authorization, and extending your legal stay in the country.

There are over 30 student clubs and organizations for students to get involved in and about 33% of students compete in one or more of the college’s varsity programs. The Bethany Vikings, BLC’s official athletics team, compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III.
